民眾黨新竹市長參選人高虹安，被爆料博士論文涉嫌抄襲，資策會昨指出，其博士論文與資策會計畫論文相似度約8成，不在合理使用範圍，並可能提起訴訟；對此，民進黨新竹市長參選人沈慧虹呼籲高虹安不應再逃避、說謊，面對問題要說清楚、講明白；另針對高虹安行程喊卡後遭爆根本沒受邀，沈慧虹也做出回應。

原訂5日下午1時30分，高虹安要參加「心理衛生協會手工香皂DIY公益活動」，但卻突然喊卡，原因是主辦單位活動臨時取消；但卻遭媒體人鍾年晃踢爆，高虹安團隊根本沒人事先說要前往參訪，且主辦單位根本沒有手工皂課程，何來取消一說。

消息一出不少網友傻眼留言，「高的哪句話才是真的？」、「吹牛吹習慣了，他也不會知道什麼叫吹牛喔」、「這也要騙？」；對此，民進黨新竹市長參選人沈慧虹表示，新竹市心理衛生協會照顧很多身心障礙的朋友，候選人的行程調整不應該造成民間困擾，更不應該卸責推給市民。

除此之外，針對高虹安論文爭議，沈慧虹說，針對高虹安拿國家的錢成就自己，不能與翁啟惠相提並論，「我想，資策會和高虹安之間，大家會選擇相信資策會」，並呼籲高說清楚、講明白。
