1MHz to 70GHz Antenna , Design , Manufacture基隆市長選舉恐形成「四角」混戰態勢，民進黨徵召立委蔡適應，國民黨提名前立委謝國樑，時代力量由市議員陳薇仲出征，立委邱臣遠則被視為民眾黨熱門人選，他今（22）日受訪表示，自己身為基隆子弟，不會怯戰，他更透露，民眾黨下周將召開選舉決策委員會，討論宜蘭縣、新竹市、基隆市的提名人選，最快7月之前會拍板決定。

針對是否參選基隆市長？邱臣遠回應表示，黨內都有在評估，他個人講過很多次，他身為基隆子弟，一定會為基隆盡一份力，不會怯戰，只要黨有需要，得到市民認同，他都會全力以赴。

至於宣布參選時間點？邱臣遠透露，近期就會進一步討論，今天是中央委員會、下周是選舉決策委員會，據他了解，會針對宜蘭、基隆、新竹做進一步討論，當被追問是否7月之前會決定？他表示，差不多就是這個時間，但還是要看黨中央最後決定，因為程序是選決會討論通過後，還要再送交中央委員會。
